I am a retired teacher living in Loveland with my husband. I have two daughters that have graduated college.
I began to learn Spanish when I was 45 years old. I have since earned a license to teach Spanish from the University of Northern Colorado.
As a family, we have hosted several exchange students: two full-time students from Mexico and three part-time students: one from Finland, France and one from Mexico.
As a family we traveled to Costa Rica in 2007 and spent 1 week in Turrialba and 2 weeks in Dominical in Spanish immersion classes.
Later, in 2008 our family moved to Ponce, Puerto Rico for 5 months in order to experience another language and culture.
I continue my Spanish education by studying with a native speaker. I continue to improve my teaching by studying with Bryce Hedstrom and Fluency Fast teachers.
Currently, I teach two Spanish classes at the First United Methodist Church. I also teach English to Spanish speakers on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
